Context
The Paris Agreement (2015) recognizes green hydrogen as a key driver of the energy transition and the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals. As a signatory of this agreement, Tunisia has committed to an ambitious energy transition, with the publication of a national strategy, followed recently by the announcement of a roadmap dedicated to green hydrogen. This roadmap aims to develop local production to meet national needs and also for export, particularly to Europe, in the form of green hydrogen and its derivatives.
The significant integration of renewable energies and the introduction of green hydrogen require:
- Innovative governance supported by advanced scientific tools.
- Technological mastery of renewable energy conversion processes and hydrogen derivatives.
- A collaborative environment mobilizing complementary expertise.
Main objectives of this 2nd edition:
- Support the national strategy on green hydrogen and its derivatives.
- Valorize research results and promote young researchers.
- Encourage synergies between researchers, international experts, and industry.
Topics
- Renewable energy for green hydrogen
- Energy materials for green hydrogen production
- Desalination systems
- Green Hydrogen Project Management
- Green Hydrogen value chain
- Modeling Green Hydrogen scenarios
- Green Hydrogen Economics
