Biography

Dr. Khalifa Slimi is a Full-Professor (Major: Physics of Energy/Minor: Energy Systems Engineering) since January 02, 2016. He was appointed, for two-terms (2011-2017) as the Dean of the Higher Institute of Transportation and Logistics affiliated to the University of Sousse, Tunisia. Since september 2021, he joined the National School of Engineering at Monastir as a Professor in the Energy Department. His research areas include, but not limited to, modeling and numerical simulation of fluid flow and heat and mass tranfer in porous media, road traffic pollution, air quality control and assessment, traffic modeling, carbon capture and storage, biofuels, among others. Dr. Slimi was engaged in several international projects and he was author or co-author of more than 120 published papers in referred international journals as well as in international conferences. He was also reviewer of many papers to be published in reputed international journals. Along his research career, Dr. Slimi had supervised more than ten PhD & MSc theses in his field of specialization.
